| AMEA Itinerary |
Our Wind Ensemble will be featured performers at the Alabama Music Educators Association Conference at the University of Alabama on Friday, January 23 at 4:00 pm. They will be performing in the Moody Music Building.

| New General Band Fundraiser |
For all those who are online shoppers, we have a new way to raise money for the general band fund.

The Thompson High School Band Alumni Association is again offering a scholarship for one band senior. Click here for the application and click here for the guidelines.
| We need HELP! |
Next year (2009/2010) we will have several holes in our booster board due to the fact that those positions are now being filled with "Senior Parents". These positions are vital to the band. Our band will not be able to function properly without these positions being filled. We really need some people to start learning these jobs. It will be very difficult next year for anyone that does decide to do one of these jobs with the guidance of someone who has done it before. If interested, email Mr. Bubbett. The positions are below:

VP - Fundraising
Concessions - We need someone that will be willing to help Wade Rider and the Drakes with Concessions next year. We would like for this to be a committee, so that all the responsibilities are lighter.
| Spring Trip Information |
We now have information on our spring trip. Click here for the permission slip that you need to turn in. This year we are going to DISNEY! This year's group of Seniors are ones that never got to go to Disney on a band trip and they are excited! They will be participating in a Disney program called "You're Instrumental". You can learn about the program here and here. You can also view/print the tentative information sheet and the tentative itinerary.

When picking up your child after away band events, please do not park in the circular area behind the band room. Use any available parking in the new student parking lot in back. We need the circular area for the buses and the equipment truck. Thank you!
